Only in Arizona

I just had to add this! As I was talking with Hunter today, he told me about a couple games they play at school. The first one is "Die of Heat". Of course that is all they think of here in good old AZ. The rules of this game are that you have to stay in the sun. If you go into the shade, you are out of the game. The winner is the person who can stay in the sun the longest. Thus the title "Die of Heat" because that is what happens to the winner. The next game they play is "Camel". In this game, they see who can drink the most water. I thought, well at least they are staying hydrated, but their poor teacher is going to have all these kids asking to go to the bathroom. Ryan did have a good point though. If they play "Die of Heat" they won't have to go because they will have sweat so much. When Hunter told me about these games, I had to laugh. When I shared them with my sister, we both had a good giggle too. Only in Arizona would these be the games that our children invent!

Sunday Night Drama

So, we thought we were going to be such great and responsible parents tonight. We left the Cook family dinner early and were on our way home so the kids would be in bed at a decent hour so they would be well rested for their first day of school. Well, silly us, we didn't leave enough time for our van to break down! Lucky for us, Ryan's brother Cory rescued the kids and I from having to wait in the heat! It may have been dark, but it was still quite toasty! Cory even came prepared with drinks and everything! Needless to say, Ryan is still waiting for the tow truck to show up! I love you honey!

My First Blog!

I've decided that I needed to jump on in with everyone else and start a blog. I am hoping that it can be a sort of online scrapbook since I have yet to start on a real one! Hopefully my very talented Sisters and Sister-in-Law can help me catch the scrapbooking bug! I have 3 kids and 11 years of marriage to catch up on! I will give a more detailed description of my family later, but this is it for now. I need to go cook dinner!
